The working principle of the switching regulator circuit is similar to that of the series voltage regulator circuit. It uses the regulator to control the voltage of the regulator to control the on-time of the regulator, so as to prevent the change of output voltage and achieve voltage regulation.


The difference between a switching voltage regulator and a series voltage regulator is as follows:


1. Adjust the on-off of the tube, so that the lamp power consumption efficiency is high, relatively safe. There are more continuing circuits in the circuit. Because of its different position, it can be divided into buck type, boost type, boost and buck type three.


2. The voltage output of the error amplifier and the voltage output of the oscillator control the regulator through the voltage of the base potential compared with the voltage transformer, so that the regulator works and switches.


3. The regulator in the switching voltage regulator circuit works in the switching state, with low power consumption and high circuit efficiency. However, the output filter is generally large, which is suitable for occasions where the output voltage regulation range is small and the load has low requirements for the output filter.
